CANSKATE 1 (CS1)

Ages 4* & 5 (birth year 2019 & 2020/*MUST BE AGE 4 BY JULY 1, 2024)
THURSDAYS 5:15 – 6:00pm (CS1)
18 Weeks/October 17 – March 6
Fee $380 per skater
No Skating October 31, December 26, January 2
CanSkate sessions are for new and experienced skaters. CanSkate provides a safe and fun environment for participants to learn and develop the fundamentals of skating – Balance, Agility and Control. Participants work through the 6 Skate Canada Assessment Levels.
This is a group oriented session. There is one Professional Skate Canada coach and/or program assistant per every 10 skaters.
No parents/guardians are permitted in the team box, on the ice or at the windows. Ensure your skater is ready to attend a 45 minute session without parent involvement or interruption during session.
To maintain the quality and integrity of this program, proof of age is required at registration.
All CanSkaters MUST wear a CSA approved hockey helmet with a cage & properly fitted skates.

Saturday August 24, 2024 at the Kingsville Arena from 9am - 1pm.
Payment in full due at the time of registration. Cash & Etransfer accepted.

Please note there are 2 Levels of StarSkate for the 2024/2025 skating season. Online registration opens August 6, 2024.
Must have completed a minimum of Stage 3 badge OR coach recommendation.
Skaters must wear a CSA approved helmet until completion of Stage 5 badge. Figure skates MUST be worn on this session.
Once skaters complete the Skate Canada badges, they move on to the Skate Canada Star test stream which include the disciplines of Dance, Skills & Free Skate (jumps, spins, solo).
Focus is on figure skating. Group lesson instruction AND self-directed practice time during the skating sessions.
Registration fee includes ice, coaching, solo music, Skate Canada test fees. There will be NO additional fees throughout the skating season.
WEDNESDAYS 5:30 – 6:20pm (September 4 - March 26)
FRIDAYS 4 - 4:50pm (Oct 4 & 18; Nov 1 & 22; Dec 13; Jan 10 & 24; Feb 7 & 21)
2 Off-ice Sessions: Friday September 13 & 27 3:30 - 5:30pm
Fee: $850 per skater

TRAVEL & LOCAL LEAGUE PLAYERS: U8 & up (2017 & before)
Skaters focus on fundamental skating & hockey skills necessary to enhance their game play. Skaters will refine technique to develop maximum speed, power, control and agility over the structured and progressive 17 week program. Hockey skills are incorporated into the program. This is NOT a learn to skate OR casual skills session. PowerSkate is for the existing hockey player that is dedicated to improving their skills & being challenged to develop. All participants must review, acknowledge and adhere to the code of conduct.
Before registering, please be sure you are aware of your other schedules as there are absolutely NO REFUNDS for schedule conflicts.
ASSESSMENT & SESSION ASSIGNMENT PROCESS – PLEASE REVIEW CAREFULLY
The first session on Monday October 7, 2024 will be assessment skates. Skaters will be asked to attend the 6pm or 7pm session. From the assessment skate, coaches will determine which time slot each skater will be assigned to for the program.
MONDAYS 6:00 – 6:50pm OR 7:00 - 7:50pm

October 7 - March 3
Fee $495 per skater
No Sessions October 14, November 18, December 23, December 30, February 17
Full hockey equipment required including mouth & neck guard.
